SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — French automaker Bugatti revealed its newest supercar at Geneva Global engine tv show Monday — the Chiron — dubbing it “the strongest, quickest, most luxurious and most exclusive manufacturing very sports vehicle in the field.”
The Chiron replaces the Veyron, introduced in back in 2005 given that world’s fastest production automobile.
So what does that mean?
This means 1, 500 horsepower and 260 mph (420 km/h) in Top Speed mode, that has been “limited for roadway use.” Those numbers not merely defeat the Veyron, they put a unique business standard.
The price tag? $2.6 million.
Just 500 of these beasts are going to be produced and according to the maker, there are currently advance purchases for a third of them.
The very first Bugatti Chiron is slated for distribution in August.
